    Barry Koen-Butt, Operations Lead

    Barry Koen‑Butt brings more than 40 years of experience across the private, public, and not‑for‑profit sectors to his role as Operations Lead of the Puslinch Men’s Shed. His career has focused on corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and public relations, helping organizations build trust, navigate change, and connect meaningfully with the communities they serve.

    Originally from Toronto and now residing in Hamilton, Ontario, Barry values strong local connections and community‑based initiatives. He joined the Men’s Shed to make new friends, share experiences, and continue learning new skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment.

    Outside the Shed, Barry enjoys playing guitar, woodworking, and spending time with his partner, dog, and two cats. He believes the Men’s Shed model plays a vital role in fostering wellbeing, creativity, and connection, and is proud to support its growth in Puslinch.

  • Pat Dares, M:embership & Engagement Lead

    Pat is a founding Director of the Puslinch Men’s Shed. She is responsible for member relations, new-member orientation, and keeping everyone engaged and connected.

  • Jon Gill, Woodworking Lead

    Jon leads the committee that manages all aspects of woodworking at PMS. This includes the day-to-day operatoin of the woodshop, facilitating workshops for members and the public, and health and safety.

  • Ken Nichol, Gardening Lead

    Ken oversees the community gardens for PMS.

  • Greg Bolster, Social/Events Lead

    Greg leads and coordinates our social events and contributes to the management of our large evetns such as Power Up.

  • Marcel Dore, Volunteer Co-ordinator

    Marcel is respsonsible for arranging for members, friends and guests to volunteer their time for Shed and community events.

    Cheryl Milani, Founder

    Cheryl was born and raised "at the Shed" in Puslinch Ontario. Although growing up on the farm made her a farm girl, she is also a serial entrepreneur as well as someone who appreciates the urban landscape.

    Cheryl attended Guelph University and found her career path in automotive focusing on software, consulting, public speaking and creating new solutions across the globe.  Previously she also has been in the fashion, hospitality, jewelry, restaurants and hotel businesses.

    Cheryl has a passion for intergenerational learning and learning by doing. She prides herself in passing down learned experience to the many children she has raised through adoptions, birth, and stepparenting.

    Cheryl is a collector of cars, antique stuff to be made into art, aspiring stage actor, flutist, equestrian in days gone by, avid concert and live theater goer, and traveller.

    John Yang, Treasurer

    John was raised in Edmonton later relocating and graduating from Western University Medical School where he met his wife and became a father of two.

    John subspecialized in Geriatric Medicine which lead him to practice at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for 20 years. During his down time, he enjoys mountain biking, lawn and garden maintenance, and attempting home repair.

    He joins Men’s Shed to learn new skills with friendly like-minded people in a supportive environment.

    Stephanie Holiga, Development

    Stephanie joins the Board as Director of Development with over a decade of experience in strategic growth and cost management finance.
    When she isn’t crunching numbers she is enjoying her time on her farm property, taking a walk on nature trails, and spending time with her close family and friends.

    Stephanie also sits on the Board for her local hospice as Vice Chair of Finance and volunteers through The Canadian Cancer Society.
