“I get asked this a lot and I think there are as many different answers as there are sheds. 

In my mind and at our shed in Puslinch, we are a community of men who cultivate relationships, share knowledge, and connect over a common goal of helping others. In our particular case we have a campus and membership that has many skills ranging from carpentry, mechanics, medicine, business, electrical, farming, and boating—just to name a few. 

We are purposefully inclusive of all ages and backgrounds. It is inspiring to see the men creating events and learning opportunities for everyone.

Through our events and involving children and families, not just the men, we foster the knowledge that Men's Shed exist. Social connection and purpose is vital to everyone for a healthy and fulfilling life. By coming together to share what we know, take care of the farmstead, and provide mentorship, we create ripples in the community that go far beyond each individual. 

Puslinch Men's Shed, in particular, believes in apprenticeship, learning by doing, and sharing wisdom between the generations. If you have knowledge to share, a desire to create and engage in purposeful activities, and a mindset focused on helping others while fostering camaraderie, then PMS may be for you or someone you know. A father, a grandfather, a brother, a son, a friend.
